Olvid, developed by cybersecurity experts Thomas Baigneres and Matthieu Finiasz, is an instant messaging application with strong security features. With a game-changing security model, it is able to mathematically prove the integrity, the confidentiality and the anonymity of your communications.

The client-side code for the iOS and Android apps is open source, as is usual for consumer tools, and enables you to communicate with any other Olvid user (even in a group). However, the server that facilitates message transmission is not.

This is a strategic choice based on the need to guarantee that no third party can read your messages, even if our servers were hacked. This is why we chose to encrypt metadata, too, unlike some other solutions, which do not.

Our encryption is based on a unique, patented technology that relies on a 'cryptographic engine' coming from years of research. It enables us to mathematically prove the impossibility for any third party to learn your exchanges, even if the servers relaying them were hacked.

It is easy to set up and simple to use, with your employees regaining full control over their communications. The secure channel can also be easily shared and accessed from other devices.
